Telephone conversation with President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon

During the conversation, Vladimir Putin wished a happy birthday to President
of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon Rahmon EmomaliPresident of Tajikistan .
The two leaders discussed a number of practical issues regarding the upcoming meeting of the CIS Background information Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) Heads of State Council in Moscow on October 8.
Vladimir Putin also sent a message of greetings to the President of Tajikistan. It says, in part:
“You enjoy well-deserved authority among your fellow citizens and on the international stage. Under your guidance, Tajikistan is confidently moving
forward along the path of socioeconomic development and is playing an important
constructive role in regional and international affairs.
We appreciate your consistent efforts aimed at strengthening relations
of strategic partnership and alliance between our countries, as well as at promoting mutually beneficial ties within the framework of the CSTO, the CIS
and the SCO.
Mr Rahmon, before we meet in Moscow in a few days,
I would like to wish you health, well-being and new achievements in your
activities as the head of state.”
